Alexandre Lacazette: French Football Star
Early Life and Career
Alexandre Lacazette was born on May 28, 1991, in Lyon, France. He began his football career with local club Lyon La Duchère at the age of 9. In 2003, he joined the youth academy of Olympique Lyonnais, where he progressed through the ranks.
Professional Success
Lacazette made his professional debut for Lyon in 2010. He quickly established himself as a prolific goalscorer, scoring 129 goals in 275 appearances for the club. In the 2014-15 season, he was named the Ligue 1 Player of the Year.
In 2017, Lacazette joined Arsenal for a record transfer fee of £52 million. He continued to score goals for the English club, netting 71 goals in 206 appearances. In 2022, he returned to Lyon on a free transfer.
International Career
Lacazette has represented France at various youth levels. He made his international debut for the senior team in 2013. He was part of the French squad that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
