Israel braced for an Iranian strike on Saturday, after an Israeli airstrike on Iran on Friday damaged an air defense system. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's supreme leader, has issued an order for Iran to strike Israel directly. The situation is especially tense after a loud blast near the Iranian city of Isfahan, caused by air defense firing at a suspicious object. The US, UK, and other regional allies came to Israel's aid in April, coordinating a successful air defense campaign after Iran launched more than 300 missiles.
