TJ Watt Ties NFL Record for Sacks in a Season

Steelers' star linebacker reaches milestone in win over Ravens

Watt now tied with Michael Strahan for most sacks in a season

Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker TJ Watt tied the NFL record for sacks in a season on Sunday with a sack of Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. Watt's sack gave him 22.5 on the season, tying him with Michael Strahan, who set the record in 2001.

Watt's record-tying sack came in the fourth quarter of the Steelers' 20-19 win over the Ravens. Watt had a great game overall, recording seven tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. The forced fumble came in the first quarter and set up the Steelers' first touchdown of the game.

Watt's performance on Sunday was just the latest in a stellar season for the 27-year-old. He has been one of the most dominant pass rushers in the NFL all season long, and he is now tied for the league lead in sacks. Watt is also a strong candidate for NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

The Steelers are now 7-8 on the season and have a chance to make the playoffs if they can win their final two games. Watt will be a key part of the Steelers' defense as they try to make a run to the Super Bowl.
